Just the F.A.Q.’s

We hope that this FAQ or (frequently asked questions) will provide some immediate answers to specific questions you may have about CorwinLaw, our representative services and other relevant legal matters.

  • Does CorwinLaw offer representation in personal injury, divorce or criminal lawsuits?
    • Please contact us to discuss your matter since we maintain close working relationships with of-counsel attorneys who specialize in these areas and provide services to CorwinLaw.
  • Will CorwinLaw handle real estate matters, such as my house closing?
    • Unfortunately, CorwinLaw does not assist buyers or sellers with respect to residential sales.  We do represent individuals as to commercial property sales and leasing.
  • You say CorwinLaw is ‘affordable’…what does that mean to me?
    • If you are just starting your business or have been in business for some time, it is no small task to watch every penny and manage your money carefully.  In addition to our hourly billing rates, we offer flat fee and split fee (flat rate/hourly billing) billing options.  We do not take matters on a contingency fee. Many times, we have found that our clients prefer to know exactly how much it will cost to have a contract drafted or reviewed without the unknown hourly billing rate ticking in the background.  Flat fees not only are a wonderful way to understand what services are being rendered but it is a useful tool to manage your legal budget as an individual or small business owner.  CorwinLaw also accepts all major credit cards.
  • Can you handle my matter ‘pro bono’?
    • Unfortunately, we cannot offer this arrangement to our clients at this time.
  • How quickly do you respond to your clients?
    • We enjoy prompt dialogues with out clients.  However, it is not unusual for a client to receive an initial email or text message within two hours of contacting us.  Phone conversations do occupy more time and we prefer electronic communication.  Phone calls are typically returned before the end of the business day or within 24 hours of contacting us.
  • How do I make an appointment for a free consultation?
    • Just call us or fill out the contact request form here on the site.  We offer either an in office consult or a phone or SKYPE conference call.
  • What are your office hours? Is CL closed on this particular holiday?
    • Please visit our Contacts page for more info.
