ABOUT

Christopher C. Corwin

Over the past 19 years, Chris has extensive experience within the practice areas of corporate, intellectual property creation and licensing, commercial litigation, and franchise representation.   Frequently, serving as outside counsel for many small to midsize businesses, he advises clients concerning a broad spectrum of daily business and legal issues that affect the operations of his clients that are engaged in numerous industries. Many are engaged in the apparel, manufacturing, transportation, telecom, entertainment, food service and hospitality, software and technology, automotive, aerospace, and agricultural industries.

Specifically, in the automotive practice area, Chris works with franchised automotive dealerships across the Unites States.  He advocates and aggressively protects dealers’ rights under their respective dealer sales and service agreements. Chris advises automotive dealerships how to respond to factory deficiency letters, notices of breach, allocation shortages, dealership buildout and renovation demands and other integral issues that may arise under the interpretation of the terms contained within the franchise agreement.

In addition to franchised dealers, Chris has extensive experience representing repair shops, salvage dealers, automotive auction platforms and used auto brokers. Chris will respond to consumer business, motor vehicle agency and attorney general complaints in order to obtain beneficial and cost-effective resolutions for his clients.

For dealers seeking compensation under warranty parts and labor reimbursement statutes, Chris aggressively pursues fair compensation for the dealer. He has advised numerous dealerships, state automobile trade associations and automotive industry professionals and insiders. One of his strengths is that he maintains positive daily working relationships with all major automotive manufacturers, including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Mercedes, Land Rover and Jaguar which ultimately allow him to achieve optimal results in rate negotiations (either with the franchisor directly or via franchisor’s legal counsel) all for the dealer’s benefit. The strategic relationships that Chris has established within the automotive industry allow him to serve his clients efficiently and effectively.

Chris is also active in the music industry and has composed for commercials and indie films. His primary focus is within the genre of ambient music. He produces and publishes his creations frequently across all major retail platforms.
